Self-Locking Mechanism
Tie Boss features a jam cleat that grips the rope securely. Simply pull the rope, and when tension is applied, it will lodge deeper into the jam cleat, ensuring a firm hold. If you lose your grip while hoisting up your cargo, don’t worry—it will catch in the jam cleat, preventing any accidents.
To release it, simply pull the rope down and out to a 20-degree angle and it will free itself from the jam cleat.
Enhanced Security with Additional Anchor Point
Each Tie Boss is designed with an additional anchor point on the body. This can be used for two things:
1. To secure your equipment with Tie Boss, you can tie it back into itself. Simply wrap the rope around your cargo, then loop the hook back into itself. This creates a 2:1 mechanical advantage, making it the best and most efficient way to tie down using Tie Boss.
2. You can also add a pulley to the 3/8" Tie Boss. Use the bottom hole on the Tie Boss to connect a pulley, which will provide a 2:1 advantage, making 100 lbs feel like 50 lbs. For even heavier items, you can add two pulleys to achieve a 3:1 advantage. This setup is ideal for lifting items that are too heavy to lift on your own.
